01 · Commitment
Our commitment
We work according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That means: readable contrasts, fully operable by keyboard, predictable navigation, and clear focus indicators.
02 · Status
What already works
- All interactive elements are reachable with the Tab key and have a visible focus ring.
- Color contrasts meet WCAG AA (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI elements).
- Animations and motion are reduced for visitors with
prefers-reduced-motionenabled. - Product images have a text description (alt text).
- Forms report errors in text and via screen readers, not just with a red border.
03 · Work in progress
What we're still working on
We run periodic audits with automated tools and manually with screen readers. Points we're currently addressing:
- Improved table accessibility on the product detail page (the specs table will get explicit column headers).
- Alt text for product images is being filled in editorially for every new product instead of generated automatically.
- The cookie banner will get a focus trap so it can't be dismissed by clicking outside it using the keyboard.
