INQ22 - Accessibility

Usable by everyone.

Running a tattoo studio already takes enough energy. A webshop shouldn't add to it. We aim for level AA of WCAG 2.1 and we're always keen to hear where it can be better.

01 · Commitment

Our commitment

We work according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That means: readable contrasts, fully operable by keyboard, predictable navigation, and clear focus indicators.

02 · Status

What already works

  • All interactive elements are reachable with the Tab key and have a visible focus ring.
  • Color contrasts meet WCAG AA (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI elements).
  • Animations and motion are reduced for visitors with prefers-reduced-motion enabled.
  • Product images have a text description (alt text).
  • Forms report errors in text and via screen readers, not just with a red border.

03 · Work in progress

What we're still working on

We run periodic audits with automated tools and manually with screen readers. Points we're currently addressing:

  • Improved table accessibility on the product detail page (the specs table will get explicit column headers).
  • Alt text for product images is being filled in editorially for every new product instead of generated automatically.
  • The cookie banner will get a focus trap so it can't be dismissed by clicking outside it using the keyboard.

04 · Report a problem

Run into something?

Found something that doesn't work with a screen reader, a keyboard path, or at high zoom? Email info@inq22.com with "A11y" in the subject. We'll pick it up and follow up within one business day once it's resolved.
